Library Lovers Tag!

Hey guys - I did this tag over on my Youtube page so thought I would add my answers here!  Go check out my channel for the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puCzlPYpPY8

Library Lovers Tag!

1) How often do you visit your local library?  - I go almost everyday!! Obviously it depends on how much gas we have or time to go anywhere but I go to the one closest to me whenever I can and the main library downtown about every 2 or 3 weeks! Its kind of sad when the library staff knows you by name because your there that much!

2) Do you check out more books than you can read or only get a few? - Even though I know I cannot read them all in time I totally get more than I can read but; I do have a system so that they are never late but I can keep them in my pile. :)

3) How old were you when you got your first library card? - I believe I was in middle school. I am not sure of exactly what age but I know I was young!

4) Do you go looking for a certain book or do you just pick up whatever looks good? - I do both! There are some times that I go because there are some books (new and old) that I have on my list to pick up but then I have no control of my life and I always find other books I want to pick up just by looking around.

5) Do you just check out books or more? - It depends on which library I go to but most of the time I check out books, movies/tv shows and cds. Sarah sometimes checks out video games too.

6) What section do you get the most books in? - Most of my books come from YA but I do check out and get books from almost every section; Ya, Adult, Childrens and Nonfiction.

7) Whats your favorite part of the library? - The library is the most amazing thing in my life. I believe the best part of the library is something so simple as the library app because I love being able to see what I have out, being able to renew whenever I want to and have things on hold! It can make somethings really simple!

I loved this tag because the library is so special to me!! I would love to hear your answers so comment, share and like this post and the video once it gets on my channel!

Book Review: No Parking at the end times

Book Review:  By Sarah Ice

No Parking at the end times
By: Bryan Bliss

General Information:

Title: No Parking at the End Times
 Author: Bryan Bliss
Copyright Date: 2015
Genre: YA contemperary
Pages: 272
Price: $14.02
ISBN: 9780062275417

Synopsis: "Abigail’s parents have made mistake after mistake, and now they've lost everything. She’s left to decide: Does she still believe in them? Or is it time to believe in herself? Fans of Sara Zarr, David Levithan, and Rainbow Rowell will connect with this moving debut.

Abigail doesn't know how her dad found Brother John. Maybe it was the billboards. Or the radio. What she does know is that he never should have made that first donation. Or the next, or the next. Her parents shouldn't have sold their house. Or packed Abigail and her twin brother, Aaron, into their old van to drive across the country to San Francisco, to be there with Brother John for the "end of the world." Because of course the end didn't come. And now they're living in their van. And Aaron’s disappearing to who-knows-where every night. Their family is falling apart. All Abigail wants is to hold them together, to get them back to the place where things were right. But maybe it’s too big a task for one teenage girl. Bryan Bliss’s thoughtful, literary debut novel is about losing everything—and about what you will do for the people you love."

Cover: The cover was really pretty because of all the fog. The colors really goes well together. It does go along with the book; even though they didn't say what color the van was.

Theme: Throughout the book the theme was really clear because the whole book seemed to revolve around it. The theme was that family is the most important thing in someones life! No matter what happens family will always be there for you whatever hardship you are going through.

Point of View: It was in first person; spoken from Abigail. She was the main character.

Intended Audience: This book was written for young adults. It seemed like it was a reality show you were reading. That it could be happening right now. It was just right now teens, not written below them but not above them either.

Author Style: Bryan Bliss didn't have any distinctive writing styles but he was not descriptive at all. Writing like this can be a pro or a con. Yes it was easier to read because only the details that were needed were written but sometimes there were not enough details.

Characters: The main characters were Abigail, her parents and her brother. Abigail was written really well and I enjoyed reading her. One of her biggest qualities was that she was very optimistic but that lead her to be borderline annoying. Something that I couldn't stand with her is that she could never make a decision. By the end of the book she grew up and became a better woman though.
Her parents were written well but not the best characters. Abigail's mother didn't really play a part in the book so there is not much I can say about her. The father was sort of the 'villian' of the book. I didn't like him at all and thought he was an idiot. The last character is her brother - at the beginning of the book I didn't like him at all but then by the end of it he had some qualities that I could like.

Plot: There were a lot of things that happened within this book but none of them were 'WOW' moments. If your looking for action or some huge remarkable book then skip this one.
This book did flow very well and a worthwhile read but once I finished it, it didn't leave me with anything. The only thing I can really say is that it was kind of dull compared to other books I normally read.

My Opinion: I liked this book but not one of the best. My first statement after finishing the book was that I liked it but that's it. It didn't leave me with any message or any feelings. I feel like there was enough stuff happening but there should have been some great moments that make me not want to put it down. I read it all in one day because it was so short as well. Like I have said before - if you are looking for action or mind changing books then this is not for you.

Feeling Blue While Reading

Hey Everyone!!

So it's around 5 am here and I can't sleep. All I can do is lay here; listen to my fiance snoring, one of my dogs breathing really loud and the other one having a dream while kicking me.
I was trying to think of some sort of schedule I could do for my YouTube channel - if you don't know this I do YouTube videos about books too... youtube.com/kwells7788. I am really serious about getting back into this even though I only have one friend supporting me.

I don't want to sound negitive because I am trying to get it all out of my life but there are some downsides to coming back to book blogging and vlogging.

1) I am so out of the loop so other than my amazing friend Dylan (youtube.com/dmfriend26), I have no friends on there. It kind of sucks when everyone has been on and going for a while now so they have all their groups and best friends. Ughhh it feels like high school again...

2) I have been off of reading for like ever!! I love reading but for a while I wasn't reading because of the move and being to busy so I am kinda getting back into it. This means that all those really good popular books that everyone has already read and reviewed are the books I am getting out of the library now.
I guess I am just going to be the late person and review books that everyone has already read. Hopefully I can read some newer ones in between or catch up some how.  Wish me luck I guess.

3) My camera has regressed. I used to be super good at editing and making my videos actually look professional but since the move I have to retrain myself how to edit. Also since the move I had to put so much stuff on this computer so there is no room for videos.

I guess life is just hard right now and I don't know if people will still watch and support me when things are going so down hill for me right now.

Guess you all have to look out and see...maybe give me some advice too!

Love you all... see you in the next video
